High-voltage Suspension Clamp porcelain insulators are used in high-voltage electrical systems operating in AC systems with nominal voltages above 1000 V and frequencies not exceeding 100 Hz or in electrical distribution devices to insulate and support live conductors (busbars and contacts, etc.).
The high-pressure Suspension Clamp porcelain insulator is made of glued by upper and lower metal fittings and insulating parts (porcelain parts). The glue is formulated from Portland cement and quartz sand not less than 42.5. Metal attachments are typically made of cast iron and the Suspension Clamp is coated with anti-corrosive paint or hot-dip galvanized.High-voltage Suspension Clamp porcelain insulators are classified into 7.2, 12, 24, 40.5, 72.5, 126, 252, 362 and 550kV according to the rated voltage, and the indoor insulators only produce 7.2 to 40.5kV.
